POSITION SUMMARY: Serves as the Lead Therapist for off-site care providers. Assists Regional Manager in various clinical and administrative duties to include monitoring of staff productivity, shifting demands for resources in school and community settings and provides in-put for staff performance reviews. Provides direct behavioral health care services to consumers; completes required clinical and billing/payer documentation; provides consultation to referring community agencies and consumers.
QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed Clinical Provider with Qualified Mental Health Professional status.
SKILL SETS: Demonstrates superior oral and written communication skills. Possesses a basic knowledge of computers. Other demonstrated skills are problem analysis, resolution and superior customer service skills.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Must have visual acuity sufficient to read a variety of written reports and documents; auditory acuity sufficient to understand spoken communications by phone and face-to-face with many staff, consumers and external sources; speaking ability sufficient to be understood clearly by a wide range of audiences.
JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
- Serves as primary point of contact for internal staff and community partners for school based services. Maintain active relationships with region schools and Family Resource Centers.
- In the absence of the Regional Manager, assists with time sheets, productivity reports and other routine administrative tasks as directed by Regional Manager.
- Monitors and manages consumer flow, initial appointments, open schedule time and any special resource demands by schools within the region; Develops new contracts; Responsible for organization and implementation of annual summer program.
- Performs intake assessment, completes diagnostic psychosocial evaluations and performs (or arranges) for psychological testing, and develops treatment plans.
- Provide clinical supervision in accordance with personal licensure.
- Conducts individual, couple, group and family therapy and crisis intervention as clinically indicated.
- Consults with referral resources in order to coordinate and collaborate on treatment plans as needed.
- Dictates clinical reports and ensures timely completion of all required documentation for medical records and billing resources.
- Assume responsibility for quality client care.
- Consult with interdisciplinary team and with other program staff (RSVP, IMPACT, CSP) for case coordination.
- Participate in diagnostic and treatment planning conferences as needed.
- Consult as needed with administrative and/or clinical supervisor regarding clinical issues, policy and procedures.
- Participates actively in clinic staffing of clients and consults with members of interdisciplinary team to develop and coordinate optimal treatment plans and interventions.
- Exercises sound clinical and ethical judgment in treatment decisions and responsibility.
- Communicate with managed care case review staff and other third party payers for coordination and authorization.
- Integrate knowledge of treatment protocols with third party payers and submits necessary documentation in timely fashion.
- Develop and delivers professional continuing education seminars and workshops to consumer groups.
- Represents program to referral sources, community agencies, judicial systems, social service agencies and others as requested.
- Manages work schedule to ensure adequate productivity.
- Participate in agency continuing quality improvement (CQI) activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
